Real Estate Advisor
Matt has always loved buying real estate and started by buying investment properties in Whistler and Vancouver when he was coaching ski racing and travelling. When he finished full time coaching in 2008, it was a natural path to become a REALTOR®. Vancouver BC now being his permanent home. Matt joined the team with Sayo. The two of them close friends for over 20 years. Before becoming a REALTOR®, Whistler and Vancouver BC were Matt’s home intermittently as he traveled the world while working for the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. He did this for 8 years and was a coach for both the men and women’s teams as well as the Para-Alpine team. Matt coached the Women’s SL and GS team through the 2006 Torino Olympics. Matt is probably best known for helping his clients and friends get through the purchasing and selling process as quickly and as easily as possible. He has also made his name as a real estate investor. He takes great pleasure from the search for that perfect home, and really enjoys putting good people into great properties, helping them start making wonderful memories. Over the years Matt has built good relationships with his clients, who say they come back to him again and again because of his quick and responsive approach to business. He proactively informs his clients of new opportunities and loves seeing them build their own portfolio. He enjoys passing on his knowledge as an investor to those looking to make investments of their own, assisting them in realizing their long term real estate goals. Matt has been recognized for his work in the industry by being awarded the accolades of Rookie REIN Real Estate Investor 2013, Top Player REIN for 2013, and has achieved Medallion for the last 5 years as an individual REALTOR®.

Real Estate Advisor
Laurie has always been interested in homes and design, likely fostered by looking at open houses every Sunday with her parents in her hometown Richmond, BC. She received a scholarship to Emily Carr College of Art and Design and obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication from Simon Fraser University. Laurie loves seeing people’s homes, offering advice for renovations, and helping to figure out what will work best – if it’s time to upsize, downsize, or whether their existing home will work with some thoughtful adjustments.

Laurie obtained her Real Estate Licence while completing her BA and worked in the sales offices of several large real estate development companies and project marketers from 1989 to 2000. In 2000, Laurie met Robin Vrba, an established agent with Remax. They really clicked – Laurie admired Robin’s knowledge, integrity and commitment to her clients. She teamed up with Robin, helping to implement marketing and management systems that doubled the business – often selling more than 100 homes per year. The team, now Team Kerr, grew and evolved seamlessly over the years but has maintained the same core values and commitment to client care; real estate advice for life. As a senior member of the team, Laurie has been involved in over 1,000 real estate moves. She cherishes the long-standing connections made with her clients. She is a calm, talented negotiator with an in-depth knowledge of real estate market trends. Laurie provides a wide variety of services to her clients: working with seniors, downsizing, upsizing, first-time buyers, and investment properties. Her warm, professional approach attracts clients for life, and her business has been built on their referrals.

Office Manager
Jessica grew up in rural Saskatchewan, and made the move to Vancouver in 2019 after falling in love with the city on a trip while visiting friends. She originally started working as a journalist writing local content, then went on to be a content writer for a marketing agency in Edmonton, Alberta. This allowed her to blend her love of language and writing with learning effective marketing strategies and procedures.

Upon moving to BC, she immediately took a job with a boutique brokerage and worked under a team of experienced realtors. From there she learned internal operations, and after two years became an unlicensed assistant at another brokerage. This allowed her to get to know the business on another level, and she took a great interest in developing personal relationships with clients, systematizing processes so all transactions run smoothly, and continuing marketing efforts.

Jessica enjoys making sure clients are taken care of and informed from the day they’re onboarded to long after a transaction has completed, and developing systems that streamline processes and add ease for everyone involved in a transaction. She also loves marketing properties and finding a way to make each one stand out.

In her free time Jessica loves reading fiction, as well as writing her own. She’s been published in several literary magazines, and received the Emily Dickinson award for her poetry in 2022. She also loves traveling, playing volleyball, cooking, going to live shows, and film.
